Meet the Doctor

Dr. Amey Avinash Nirmale leads clinical care at Aura Vets, the multi-speciality veterinary clinic in Koregaon Park, Pune. He holds a B.V.Sc & A.H. and an M.V.Sc in Surgery & Radiology, is registered with the Maharashtra State Veterinary Council as MSVC Reg: 10582, and counts MSVC, ISVS, PPAM and PDAP among his professional affiliations.

His post-graduate training sets the order of his work: the picture comes first. Cases are imaged and read before a surgical decision is taken, and the plan follows what the film shows rather than what the symptoms suggest. Major and minor procedures, including orthopaedic work, are carried out in the clinic's own theatre with monitored anaesthesia and a documented recovery plan, with radiography and ultrasonography in-house for review at any stage of a case.

He practises across the clinic's full range — general consultation and preventive care, pathology and diagnostics, imaging, soft-tissue and orthopaedic surgery, behavioural consultation and therapeutic feeding — with medicated bathing and grooming handled on the same premises. Two of those areas, structured behavioural consultation and prescription diets chosen against a diagnosis rather than a preference, are uncommon in Pune and are run here as clinical services. He is on call around the clock for the clinic's patients.

Consults are deliberately unhurried. Animals are given time to settle before they are examined, handling stays gentle, and findings are explained in ordinary language before anything is started — including what each option means in time and in cost. The aim is a neighbourhood practice where thorough medicine and warmth are the same thing, and where a family leaves knowing exactly what was found and why it was treated the way it was.

Surgical & Radiographical Expertise

Dr. Nirmale's post-graduate training is in veterinary surgery and radiology, and the two disciplines work together in his practice: imaging defines the problem before a scalpel is considered, and the surgical plan follows the picture rather than a hunch.

Major and minor procedures are carried out with monitored anaesthesia and a documented recovery plan, with digital radiography and ultrasonography available in-house for review at any stage of the case.

Our Clinical Creed & Vision

Care at Aura Vets is deliberately patient-first. Animals are given time to settle, handling is gentle, and consults are paced so that nothing is rushed for the sake of a schedule.

Families are treated as part of the clinical conversation: findings are explained in plain language, options are laid out honestly, and treatment proceeds only once the plan is understood. The vision is a neighbourhood practice where thorough medicine and warmth are the same thing.
